getting to know tim

I think my best schooling in photography has been by having camera in hand and using it, even though I received a formal education in film and darkroom work. I was also art director, writer and photographer for a private publication. My photography has been published and my art sold, much to my surprise.

For the past four years, Kelly (my Sweetheart) and I have run a unique photography based caricature business at festivals with much success.

I'm extremely interested in co-creating images with my clients - an experience that I wholeheartedly intend to make fun and thoroughly exhilarating for them. I adapt to my clients' comfort levels and desires. If I had to define my style, it would be a blend of photojournalism and a touch of glamour, but without that cold, impersonal aftertaste fashion magazines seem to like. I like creating dramatic, emotional imagery; I want my photos to be described as essays in intimacy, or truth. But most of all, I want my clients to be able to come back to them, years hence, to joyfully shed a tear over them... because they mean so much!

I've a friendly, quiet personality. I like simplicity. I enjoy exotic places, cultures and foods, and often ponder the mysteriousness of our just being here and the wonders of it all! I'm addicted to Beauty, and as an artist-photographer-designer, I suffer from or glory in perfectionism. This might be a good thing for my clients.
